Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...

Lysergic Acid Diethelamide (LSD) is a hallucinogenic drug first discovered in 1938 by Swiss chemist, Albert Hofmann. Hofmann was the first person to ingest LSD on April 19th, 1943. This day is celebrated annually by psychonauts and is referred to "bicycle day" where Hofmann took LSD and rode his bicycle around the Swiss mountains.

LSD is powerful; a typical dose ranges between 100-200 micrograms (mcg). It is most often consumed by "tabs" which are little pieces of paper, or "blotters", that have absorbed liquid LSD. Because the average dose is so tiny, it can be challenging to measure it properly. However, each tab/blotter will typically be between that 100-200 microgram range.

What could I feel?

LSD is often described as a "trip" because it truly feels as though you're going on a journey. The journey lasts about 8-12 hours (depends on the person and the dose- everyBODY is different) and has 4 phases:

1. The Onset: After about 30-45 minutes you may begin to notice that colors appear more defined, moving objects might have a slight trail to them, I personally always feel a warmth in my belly.

2. The Plateau: The effects of the onset become more intense. Surfaces may appear to "breathe" and more imaginary visuals might appear-- like geometric shapes on the wall or very clear images in the clouds.

3. The Peak: Time is slooooowed down, for some, it may even feel like a standstill. This is when users might feel like they're in a simulation, movie, or different world entirely. For some, this is where the most profound or mystical experiences occur- however, it can be frightening for others.

4. The Comedown: After several hours from taking LSD the effects begin to slowly subside. It could feel like the onset, in reverse.

Be Careful...

Before ingest ANY psychedelic it's crucial to consider any risks that could be involved.

Firstly, LSD is an unregulated and illegal. There are far more dangerous drugs that have been misrepresented as LSD. always test what you buy! You can buy at home tests at https://dancesafe.org.

LSD, like any psychedelic, may precipitate the onset of psychotic disorders (e.g. schizophrenia) to those who are genetically predisposed.

As mentioned before, LSD can be frightening for some individuals. Some people experience anxiety or panic attacks. If you have recently been hospitalized for any mental health reason, I would not advise that you take LSD in an unsupervised setting.
